Community Band kicks off season
Chelmsford, Mass., June 16, 2005 —
The Chelmsford Community Band will kick off its 33rd summer season
with an Independence Day concert on the Chelmsford Common on
Friday, July 1 at 7 p.m. This special concert, sponsored by Trinity
E.M.S., Inc., will feature patriotic favorites and popular marches.
The band will perform every Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the Chelmsford Common
from July 5 through Aug. 16.
On July 5, July 26 and Aug. 9, the Chelmsford Community Band Jazz
Ensemble will be featured.
On Friday, Aug. 5, the jazz ensemble will perform at Washington Square
Park in Haverhill at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, Aug. 7, the concert band will perform at 5 p.m. on the
Ashburnham Town Common.
The Chelmsford Community Band is a volunteer adult band based in
Chelmsford.
Now in its 33rd year, the band presents about a dozen performances
throughout the year, including the Summer Concert Series on the Common on
Tuesday evenings in July and August.
