The shuttle buses for the July 3 parade will run between the rear parking lot of the (new) town hall and McCarthy Middle School, Chelmsford up until about 9:00 AM.

The bus for the July 4 concert will leave from the McCarthy Middle School, Chelmsford parking lot at 6:00 PM sharp for Sampas Pavailion, Lowell, and return after the fireworks.

Welcome to the web site of the Chelmsford Community Band, a volunteer adult band based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts that is now in its 34th year.

Independence Day at Sampas Pavillion

The Chelmsford Community Band will be performing at Sampas Pavillion in Lowell on July 4 from 7-9 PM.

2008 Summer Season

The Chelmsford Community band kicks off their 36th season with a concert on the common on July 3rd at 7 p.m.

We will also be participating in Chelmsford's 4th of July Parade, playing some great marches while we ride along the parade route.

The band will also perform on the Chelmsford common on July 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 5 and 12. The July 8 and August 5 concerts will feature the Chelmsford Community Band Jazz Ensemble playing all your favorite swing and big band tunes.

On Saturday, August 2nd, the jazz ensemble will be performing in the pavilion on Short Sands Beach in York Beach, Maine.

The band rehearses regularly on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 in the Old Town Hall in Chelmsford, which is on North Road (Rt. 4) directly across from the Common. We are always looking for new members, so if you are looking for a group to join, please stop by!

We present about a dozen performances throughout the year, including our Summer Concert Series on the Common, Tuesday evenings through the months of July and August. We also do a holiday concert, a winter concert and a spring pops concert.
